Today Peace & Nature members and our friends from iCraft Corp. gathered together, for a diverse group of Japanese and non-Japanese participants ages 10-76.
We cut back the Nezasa bamboo in June, and it hadn’t grown that much, so we cut it back to about knee height this time. We hope to coexist with this bamboo rather than cutting it back intensively.
The west slope is very steep, so we put in stakes and and installed rails to shore it up.
We’re making great progress toward our tree planting on March 3rd! The weather didn’t look too good, but thankfully we got the work done in good time and didn’t suffer from the cold.
