Peace & Nature is working to revitalize the forest on Mt. Rokko as part of our mission to create an abundant and sustainable environment for the next generation together.
Insects that burrow into trees and cause them to wilt are proliferating in the eastern area of Mt. Rokko. On Sunday, May 27, eleven participants, including eight members from our CSR Partner iCRAFT Corp., created and installed plastic bottle traps to catch these insects without using pesticide. Today we learned from a talk by Asia Air Survey Co., Ltd., then connected 20 plastic bottles and installed two traps each on three konara trees. June is the most active season for these insects, so we will continue our monitoring and capture.
