NPO Peace & Nature is holding a workshop learning about food and the environment through agriculture experience and cooking while interacting with nature. Over the course of the 2 days, July 28th and 29th, we have prepared various programs that utilize the nature in the Ozo base. Please experience and feel the fresh flavor of the ripe vegetables that were raised without chemical fertilizer, of the same vegetables that you eat normally. This time, events were planned by college students and is an International event that brings together Japanese High schoolers and International Students. We encourage many foreigners as well to attend this event.
Starting from this year, We have been raising various types of herbs at the herb garden located in the Ozo base. On the 28th, we have prepared several exciting plans through sampling herb tea, such as to make an original herb tea and provide them in department stores, as well as listening to the positive effects ]and the unknown charms of herbs, by welcoming Koudera Herb Garden’s representative Mr. Fukuoka, who currently is challenging to apply herbs in to medical care through cooperative researches with universities.
On the 29th, we plan to have nagashi somen, a traditional Japanese eating style were you need to catch the noodles flowing down a water stream through a bamboo pipe. We also plan to make salad from after harvesting vegetables and herbs, and hold a tea party with the local farmers. This event is to have both Japanese and Foreigners create something together! We are looking forward for everyone to join us.
