Parent-Child Nature School
Peace & Nature’s 2025 Parent-Child Nature School
Learn “Life Skills” Together as a Family!
Now Accepting Applications!
In 2025, Peace & Nature is launching the Parent-Child Nature School.
Today’s children spend much of their time with AI, smartphones, and games, and their opportunities to connect with nature are decreasing. Our school provides unique programs where families can gain essential ‘life skills’ through hands-on experiences.
Participants will also develop global communication abilities to connect with the world and acquire skills that are useful in international environments.
Through nature-based challenges and experiences, families will nurture curiosity, creativity, and the power to take action—skills beyond just knowledge and technique.
Learning together strengthens the family bond, encourages cooperation, and builds communication abilities. Shared growth experiences become valuable learning for both parent and child.

【About Peace & Nature】
Peace & Nature began activities in 2003 and has practiced pesticide-free farming and Satoyama (village mountain) conservation in Kita Ward, Kobe since 2010. It is an international NPO based in Kobe, where Japanese and non-Japanese work together to promote global activities. Our mission is to develop green leaders—individuals who can
identify societal issues and take action to address them.
【Background】
Modern society faces challenges such as climate change, economic uncertainty, food and energy issues, and conflicts. Tackling these requires human strength—the ability to think and act independently. And experience from an early age is key to building this power. As we move into the future, cultivating these ‘life skills’ is critical for building confidence.
One of those key skills is growing food with our own hands. We emphasize pesticide free farming as an essential and valuable experience.
【Program Overview】
Activities include pesticide-free rice, vegetable, and herb cultivation, rice cooking using traditional clay stoves, fermentation, bamboo harvesting, Satoyama conservation, bamboo crafting, firewood making, DIY projects, and traditional culture experiences.
Through these, participants will learn about SDGs while developing practical knowledge, skills, and personal growth.
