Date: 2021/12/11 (Sat) 10:00-13:00
Venue: P&N OZO Base and nearby bamboo forest
Organized by: Peace & Nature, Vision Future and Environment
Why don’t you think about the importance of Satoyama in the global environment through tree planting?
Peace & Nature, a non-profit organization, is engaged in reforestation activities as part of its environmental and SDGs initiatives. In cooperation with Peace & Nature, Coop Shizenha Hyougo will challenge Satoyama creation for the first time. Through tree-planting, why don’t we think together about the connection between the sea, rivers and mountains? We will be planting trees while learning a series of processes such as soil preparation, cutting down bamboo, leveling the ground, and clearing undergrowth. It will be hard work, but let’s create a sustainable satoyama together!
When: Saturday, December 11, 2021, 10:00 – 13:00
*For those who have time, after lunch we will cut bamboo and make bamboo charcoal until 16:00.
