49 SDGs Action Workshop
Rice Harvesting (Pesticide-Free Rice Production)
Let’s taste the nature-filled OZO, rice harvesting and drying with all your senses!
As one of our SDG initiatives, Peace and Nature is rehabilitating fallow rice paddies to grow rice without relying on chemical fertilizers or pesticides. Rice grown in the full blessing of the sun is harvested and dried without the use of machinery. We invite you to experience this in the midst of nature. In the afternoons of September 24 and October 2, participants will have the opportunity to experience bamboo forest maintenance as an activity to revive fallow rice paddies and adjacent fallow land. In the afternoon of 10/1, Canon will lend out their cameras for participants to take photos of their favorite landscapes. We look forward to your participation.
