SDGs Action Workshop in OZO ! Dec 25th

SDGs Action Workshop in OZO ! Dec 25th

Experience Japanese traditional culture, firewood making and rice cake making!

Using glutinous rice which is grown in the rich natural environment of Ozo, Kita-ku, Kobe City, we will make mochi (rice cakes), which is a traditional Japanese cultural activity, with the cooperation of the people of Ozo.

When steaming glutinous rice and using the thinned wood cut out with the community, companies, and students, we aim to effectively use (circulate) the forest area maintenance activity. Although the thinned wood is chopped with an axe, you can also experience making safe firewood even for children who do not have any experience using such tools.

We hope that you will enjoy this last Peace & Nature workshop of the year while making and eating rice cakes together. Last month, students from Kobe Gakuin University and I made bamboo domes out of thinned bamboo, and on the 25th of December, we are going to have a bamboo dome illumination event in the nature surrounded by mountains. We are looking forward to your participation.
