Announcing the May 2022 Peace and Nature Member Activities & Meetings
Let’s build a global, sustainable community together!
Thank you for your continued support of P&N activities. Everyday through the media, we hear about various global issues such as Corona, Russia and Ukraine, the weak yen, and environmental problems. In such a situation, it’s important to grasp the information, think about what we can do, and take action. Many people may want to take some action, but may be hesitant to do so because they wonder what they can do as individuals. We need to protect our own lives, care for our communities, by expanding our global and sustainable community and support each other. We are looking for members who can share these ideas and expand our circle of activities.
Once a month, members of Peace and Nature will gather at the OZO base to help with DIY and tending to the fields at the OZO base as part of our environmental and SDG activities. For lunch, we will prepare homemade food using a kamado. After the activity, we will share current issues and what we can do with the members and exchange opinions to increase the number of members who will promote the activity together. By creating the phenomenon of the 100th monkey, this activity will naturally spread once 100 people gather. We want to improve the current global environment in a positive way by participating in social activities! We are looking for people who are interested in community building and who would like to participate in some kind of activity or physical exercise.

Time: 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (tentative) (including clean-up time)
Participation fee: Free (simple lunch such as curry will be provided – you are welcome to bring extra food)

Eligibility: Peace and Nature members (high school students and older)
Member Registration: Please register as a 2022 member. Registration can be made online or at the OZO Base on the day of the event. General: Individual 3,000 yen, Family 5,000 yen, Student 1,000 yen Students: 1,000 yen

Volunteer Insurance Request: We ask that you participate at your own risk in our activities. Members can purchase volunteer insurance (500 yen per year). You can register at the Volunteer Center of each municipality (ward office). Please inquire for details.
What to bring: Boots, drink, towel, writing utensils and gloves, cups, plates, chopsticks (if you forget, we sell them for 100 yen), change of clothes, etc.
Activity attire: Please make sure to prepare your own boots. Please wear clothes that can get dirty.
Parking: Please let us know in advance if you are coming by car.
